OsteoCHAMPS is a week-long program held on the campus of Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine for high school juniors and seniors interested in careers in osteopathic healthcare.
Thanks to generous donors, the Foundation is able to provide full scholarships for many West Michigan students. Here are some of the experiences those gifts made possible for the OsteoCHAMPS class of 2019:
Every part of this camp strengthened my passion for medicine and as a result, I am more confident in my choice of career to pursue. OsteoCHAMPS was an incredible stepping stone and I look forward to being part of the future generation of osteopathic doctors. Mackenize S. Dekker
I am very certain being a doctor is what I want to do with my life. OsteoCHAMPS has shown me that it is possible for me to achieve that. Samantha Kasbohm
OsteoCHAMPS provided me with skills that will help me throughout my life. I feel much more prepared to dedicate myself to the work that medical school requires because I am confident I have what it takes to become a doctor.Lauren Boerger
Prior to OsteoCHAMPS I had never seen a dead body, so I imagined I would feel scared, sad, or even repulsed. However, I left feeling curious, humbled, and motivated. OsteoCHAMPS encouraged me to continue working hard toward my goal of being a physician. Rebecca Koratich
What stood out most was the understanding I now have as to what it truly means to be an osteopathic physician, to fully realize my love of medicine and to see how far my drive for helping others can take me. Laney Mabrito
If you or a student you know are interested in the OsteoCHAMPS program, applications are currently being accepted through February 29, 2020.  Please click here for more information.
