Students practice procedures at the Mercy Regional Simulation Lab

Do you know a student with the talent and drive to become a physician? West Michigan OsteoScholars is a program that partners with world-class local resources to give high school students learning opportunities that prepare them for college and medical school. Meetings are held just once a month and students are introduced to area physician mentors, resume-building experiences, and they can even try their hand at medical procedures at the Mercy Regional Simulation Lab.
This program is the first step on a path of exclusive opportunities that may include a full scholarship to MSU’s OsteoCHAMPS summer program, admission support for MSU’s undergraduate programs, admission to MSU’s Osteopathic Medical Scholars Program, and preferential admission to MSU College of Osteopathic Medicine. The value of these experiences cannot be overstated.
This not only for all-stars; it also provides resources and guidance for students who have the aptitude and commitment, but may be first-generation college or have other obstacles to overcome. There is no cost to attend, but enrollment is limited.
Please encourage a student to apply today. You could start them on a path that helps their dream become reality. The application deadline is Tuesday, September 20. Call 231-720-0288 with any questions.
